About The Role

We are looking for a skilled Automotive Technician A or B level tech to join our team at Toy Doctor in Tualatin. In this role you'll repair, and maintain vehicles using advanced diagnostics and industry best practices, delivering reliable auto repair and excellent customer service. You’ll work closely with service advisors and other technicians to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical concerns, perform scheduled maintenance, and ensure every vehicle leaves the shop safe and road-ready.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle diagnostics and repairs across engine, transmission, brakes, steering, suspension, and electrical systems
• Complete scheduled maintenance services including oil changes, tune-ups, fluid services, and inspections
• Use scan tools and diagnostic software to isolate and verify faults, then recommend and complete appropriate repairs
• Document work performed, parts used, and time spent in the shop management system
• Conduct thorough road tests and quality checks to confirm repairs meet Toy Doctor standards
• Support a clean, organized shop environment and safely operate lifts, hand tools, and power equipment

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience as an automotive technician or equivalent in an auto repair shop
• Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills; comfortable using scan tools and multimeters
• ASE certification or equivalent training preferred must have own tools
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate customer vehicles as needed
• Ability to lift and maneuver parts and equipment; capable of standing and working in a garage environment
